Yokohama Beer Brewery to Hold Special Spring Edition of "Yokobi Sanpo" to Celebrate the Release of Yokohama Saison
Yokohama Beer Brewery in Yokohama City will hold a special event, "Yokobi Sanpo: Spring Special Edition," on April 4 to celebrate the release of Yokohama Saison. In addition to a cherry-blossom-viewing walking course, a photo contest, tacos, and mini-games are also planned.
A Special Event Walking Through Springtime Yokohama
Yokohama Beer Brewery, based in Yokohama City, will hold its spring event, "Yokobi Sanpo: Spring Special Edition," on Saturday, April 4. This time, the event is tied to the release of Yokohama Saison and combines a seasonal stroll with food.
The event will be held in two parts: Part 1, starting at 2:00 p.m., will feature the "Classic! Ooka River Cherry Blossom Viewing Course," and Part 2, starting at 5:30 p.m., will feature the "Night Cherry Blossoms and Minato Mirai Night View Course." It is designed so participants can enjoy different sides of Yokohama by day and by night.
Photo Contest and Food Plans Too
This time’s "Yokobi Sanpo" will also include a photo contest themed around cherry blossom viewing. Among the stories posted during the event, one winner will be selected in each of Part 1 and Part 2 for the "Saison in Hand Walking Award," and prizes will be prepared for the selected participants.
In addition, a molkky and slipper table tennis tournament is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Rather than just walking around, the event combines participatory games so attendees can enjoy the time spent there itself.
For food, tacos suited to Saison will be offered.
- Classic! Carnitas
A hearty dish with rich umami, made by confit-frying two cuts of pork in lard.
- Smoked Chicken
Uses chicken thigh meat slowly smoked with cherry chips, balancing aroma and juiciness.
Yokohama, home to Yokohama Beer Brewery, is an area where the scenery of a port town pairs well with strolling through the city. This event, which combines springtime walks, special offerings, and food that goes well with Saison, looks like it will be a chance to enjoy the charm of both beer and the city together.
