CraftBeerSpot Hathor, a beer pub in Osaka’s Kyobashi area, has posted its Aug. 20 draft lineup. The venue’s own description highlights 16 taps and house-smoked food, making it a place where beer drinkers can settle in and spend time with the glass in front of them.

The featured new keg is Minoh Beer’s "Stout Real Ale Ver." It is described as a stout with coffee- and bitter-chocolate-like notes, a smooth texture, and a dry finish, built to be easy to drink without becoming tiring. The real-ale format should also appeal to anyone who wants to follow the aroma as it opens up in the glass.

The recommended beer is Firestone Walker’s "Primal Elements Blueberry & Marionberry." The beer is built from a blend of a wild-yeast saison aged in oak, a Flanders red fermented with marionberries, and a lager base, then matured for nine weeks in a French oak foudre with fresh Washington State blueberries. The result is described as deep purple in the glass, with raspberry-jam-like aromas, blueberry sweetness, and a tannic edge.

Elsewhere on the taps are Asahi Beer’s Super Dry, Beer Hearn’s Sansho White Ale, Shiga Kogen Beer’s Baby Blonde Miyama and KASUMI, Onidensetsu Beer’s Kinoni Pale Ale Real Ale Ver and Kinoni Pale Ale Citra Ver, Minamishinsyu Beer’s 30th Pale Ale, Nara Brewing’s Double Swisher, and Barebottle’s Potion Crusher and Three Factor Authentication. It is a broad lineup that runs from stout and fruit beer to white beer and IPA, with plenty of room for comparison drinking.
