The Ninth Booth Is a Cup-By-The-Glass Stand
Asahara Shuzo, which operates Ogose Brewery, introduced cup-by-the-glass booth "Naminami - Rōrō -" as the ninth booth in the final installment, Vol. 9, of the food introduction series for "Kurabiraki 2026." At the venue, they will offer beer served from event-exclusive draft barrels, along with lemon sours and Katsuragi yuzu sours.
Rare Sake by the Glass Too
This time, a limited quantity of rare sake will also be available by the glass. In addition, they will sell "grilled ray fin" and "grilled scallop skirts," both marinated in the signature sake "Biwa no Sasanami Junmai Sake." The setup pairs drinks with snacks chosen to complement alcohol, creating a lineup that lets visitors enjoy tastings and food pairings at the event venue.
As a Brewery Rooted in the Local Area
Based in Ogose Town, Saitama, Asahara Shuzo is a brewery that produces craft beer, local sake, and local wine. On its official website, it explains that the spread of carefully crafted sake from person to person is likened to the origin of "Sasanami," showing its commitment to locally rooted craftsmanship. The yuzu sour made with Katsuragi yuzu and the snacks that make use of junmai sake also seem likely to convey the distinct character of local ingredients.
On the day of Kurabiraki, you will want to check out the pairing of drinks and snacks that feels distinctly like Ogose Brewery at "Naminami - Rōrō -."
