Ogoe Brewery, based in Ogoe, Saitama, will set up a two-day pop-up at Kikizake-dokoro Showazo, located inside the Koedo Kurari complex in Kawagoe, on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20. The event will feature paid tastings and special sales of products made by Asahara Brewery. It is scheduled to run from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

One of the highlights is Biwa no Sasānami Saijo Shikomi-shu, made using a distinctive method in which part of the dilution water is replaced with sake. The technique creates an opportunity to experience a profile that differs from standard sake production.

The lineup also includes Biwa no Sasānami Junmai Daiginjo-style Dry—more accurately presented by the brewery as Junmai-shu Ōkarakuchi—a sake described as having a sharp finish and clear, transparent character. Its crisp profile should pair naturally with food and remain approachable over extended drinking.

Two additional offerings expand the range beyond sake: PetitRich Mikan, a rich fruit liqueur with a lively, pulpy texture, and four varieties of CRAFT LAB Yogurt, made with specially produced yogurt from Kato Farm. For craft beer fans, the event offers a useful look at the broader fermentation culture of the Ogoe area, even though the featured selection is centered on sake and liqueurs.

Ogoe Brewery is a brand of Asahara Brewery, a Saitama producer working across local sake, craft beer, and regional wine. Its portfolio also includes liqueurs and other fermented beverages, reflecting a brewing approach that goes beyond a single category.

The Ogoe Brewery shop will remain open as usual from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from September 19 through 23. Visitors can therefore combine the Kawagoe tasting event with a visit to the brewery’s home base in Ogoe.
