Vi Again Brewing Releases Second Batch of HOLHY IPA
Shizuoka-based Vi Again Brewing announced the second batch of its American IPA, "HOLHY IPA," on February 27. In addition to a dry-hop bill of Galaxy, Citra, Idaho 7, and Mosaic, the label is a collaboration with mural artist Hohly. It is currently on sale in 330 ml bottles and 15.5 L kegs.
What’s in HOLHY IPA 2nd Batch
According to the Instagram post, this HOLHY IPA is designed as a sharp American IPA that bursts with grapefruit and passion fruit. The hops used for dry hopping are Galaxy / Citra / Idaho 7 / Mosaic, arranged to bring out citrus, lemon-lime, and ripe tropical notes. The specs are ABV 6.0% and CO2 2.56 vols. By finishing with a low final gravity, the beer is designed to drink lighter than its ABV might suggest.
The Design Philosophy Behind "The Hop Takes Center Stage"
In the post, malt is described not as something meant to add thickness, but as something that smoothly supports the spread of hop aroma and flavor. A serving temperature of 8–10°C is recommended, along with suggested occasions such as a "first drink," "after a sauna," or an "art event." It comes in 330 ml bottles and 15.5 L kegs, and as of the February 27 post at 17:31, it was listed as on sale.
Label and Brewery Background
The label is a collaboration with mural artist Hohly. The twin-dragon motif is said to carry a double meaning: the flow of water from Mount Fuji and the stainless tank (Black Dragon). Vi Again Brewing is a brewery based in Shizuoka, and its official information emphasizes brewing that makes use of the environment at the foot of Mount Fuji and its brewing water. This HOLHY IPA is positioned as a beer that connects that sense of place with a modern hop expression.
