Beer Again Brewing Wins Silver and Bronze at International Beer Cup 2026
Gotemba-based Beer Again Brewing has won its first medals at the International Beer Cup 2026. The brewery received one silver and two bronze awards across three categories, marking a significant milestone three years after its founding.
Beer Again Brewing, a craft brewery based in Gotemba, Shizuoka, at the foot of Mount Fuji, has won its first medals at the International Beer Cup 2026. The brewery announced the results on Instagram on October 9, 2026.
Three beers were recognized:
- Silver Prize: Sumatabi Beer Coconut Lemon Ale, Fruit Beer category
- Bronze Prize: SUN BASE SAISON, Special Saison category
- Bronze Prize: BLACK CHAI STOUT, Sweet Stout category
According to the brewery, Sumatabi Beer Coconut Lemon Ale and SUN BASE SAISON were created with support from label sponsors. BLACK CHAI STOUT was brewed in collaboration with BLACKISH GEAR. The results highlight beers made through partnerships and community-based projects, as well as the brewery’s own brewing work.
Beer Again Brewing operates within Vi Again Village, a campground and hospitality facility in Gotemba. It brews with natural spring water from Mount Fuji, rich in naturally occurring vanadium, and works under the theme of making beer that people want to raise a glass to again. Its connected taproom offers craft beer alongside camping and shisha experiences.
The brewery’s official story traces its origins to the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. After moving into campground and bar operations, the team established a brewery on site to make use of the facility’s natural water. Equipment delays, installation difficulties and the challenge of developing its recipes made the early years demanding, but the brewery reached its starting line after nearly three years of preparation and work.
Beer Again Brewing credited its supporters, sponsors, collaborators and drinkers for the medals. The brewery says it will continue striving for gold and brewing each glass with care. These three award-winning beers offer a glimpse into the creative, collaborative direction emerging from Gotemba.
