Baird Brewery Garden Shuzenji has put `Cool Breeze Pils` on tap. The new beer is a Bohemian-style pilsner with 5.5% ABV, and the brewery describes it as a refreshing lager with real drinking depth and a strong sense of balance.

In Brian's comments, the beer is positioned as part of a broader craft brewing tradition that takes inspiration from historic European brewing culture while also pushing back against modern industrial beer. Rather than chasing only lightness and ease, Cool Breeze Pils aims to recreate the richer flavor profile of the pre-industrial European pilsner style.

Masaki's comments point to the brewing technique behind that character. The beer uses a double decoction process to build malt depth and body, then layers in the character of the house lager yeast before a clean noble-hop bitterness moves through the finish. The result is a pilsner that offers more than simple crispness and keeps its balance throughout the glass.

The label also carries a story. It follows the original description used when the beer was first released in 2001, evoking a cool sea breeze crossing sun-warmed skin on a summer afternoon. The design uses the kanji for cool and wind, making the name itself part of the visual concept. For Baird's brewpub in Shuzenji, this release connects place, process, and story in a way that fits the brewery's style.
