NEIGHBOR, the beer pub in Nogata, Tokyo, announced its June 20-21 "SPICE&SAISON" event. The concept matches spice-forward dishes with saison-oriented beers, making it a natural fit for the humid early-summer season.

The food lineup consists of five dishes: chicken biryani, edamame cumin butter, roasted vegetables with mole, katsuo with lemon timur pepper, and spicy lamb short pasta. It is a menu built to show how aromatic, crisp, and lightly tart beers can lift spice and herbs on the plate.

The five new beers on tap are:
- Shiga Kogen Beer `Kind of Gold` / Hazy IPA (8%)
- Kyoto Brewing `Ichiryu Manpaku` / Saison (6%)
- Gangi Brewing `GO BARE` / DH Saison w/ Lemon baum (4.5%)
- fete Mishima Brewery `Nishiura Soleil 6` / Citrus Saison (5%)
- Bighand Bros. Beer `Limestone` / Lime Curd Sour (5%)

`Kind of Gold` is a collaboration with DOGFISH HEAD and OXBOW, brewed with rice and honey. `Ichiryu Manpaku` uses Japanese wheat and buckwheat groats, while `GO BARE` layers melon, peach, and lemon balm notes. `Nishiura Soleil 6` leans into citrus, and `Limestone` is a lime-driven sour ale.

NEIGHBOR’s appeal lies in how naturally it connects food and draft beer. This event is set up not as a loud spectacle, but as a straightforward invitation to match the right plate with the right glass.
