Shiokaze Blue Lab Brewery to release “Shibakuzo 2026” on April 28; in-store event also planned at Soga shop
In an Instagram post on the night of April 27, Shiokaze Blue Lab Brewery announced that it would release “Shibakuzo 2026” on April 28. At Shiokaze Blue Stand Soga, in addition to visits from Chris Pool and Tsunagi Niki, a limited pairing food will also be offered.
Shiokaze Blue Lab Brewery is a craft beer brewery based in Chiba City. On its official website, it is described as a “lab” founded independently by Chris Pool, who spent many years gaining experience at Baird Beer in Shizuoka, and it emphasizes an approach of creating a wide variety of beers without being constrained by ingredients or recipes.
This Instagram post came from the brewery's directly operated Shiokaze Blue Stand Soga. The post announced that “Shibakuzo 2026” will be released on April 28, and also said that brewers Chris and Tsunagi Niki will be visiting the shop. On the release day, the focus will likely be on enjoying it on-site.
The post also said that as a pairing food, “Devil's Homemade Green Onion Miso Samgyeopsal” will be available, and noted that quantities are limited and it will be “first come, first served.” Orders will be available from 19:00, making this a plan to enjoy the beer together with food.
Shiokaze Blue Stand Soga is known as a base where you can directly taste Shiokaze Blue Lab's beers. This announcement, featuring a new release at the brand's regular venue and the brewers themselves standing in the shop, is worth noting as an effort to bring the brewery's “making” and “drinking” closer together.
