Yokohama Beer Brewery released 'Yokohama Saison' on April 1, 2026 as the sixth regular canned beer in its lineup. Based in Naka Ward, Yokohama, the brewery is a local beer company founded in 1999. While continuing to make craft beer rooted in the local community, it is expanding its lineup with both core and limited-edition offerings.

This new release uses the Belgian-style saison yeast 'Belle Saison' as its base, bringing the spicy, floral aroma and dry finish characteristic of a saison. On top of that, it adds 'Krush,' a hop attracting attention as one of the latest varieties, layering in a fresh aroma reminiscent of citrus and tropical fruit. It has an alcohol content of 4.5% and an IBU of 17. The result is a beer designed to keep a light feel while letting drinkers enjoy its aromatic layers.

The brewery says it aimed for 'a refreshing flavor that blends into everyday scenes,' and head brewer Shoichi Ida commented that rather than simply preserving tradition, they gave the saison new life by adding modern elements. It is also easy to enjoy with food, and pairing suggestions include white fish carpaccio and early-summer vegetable dishes.

A limited set commemorating the release has also been prepared. It includes five bottles of 'Yokohama Saison' paired with a mini stainless-steel round plate made in Tsubame-Sanjo, creating a set that lets drinkers enjoy the craftsmanship of both the beer and the vessel together. This saison brings together Yokohama Beer Brewery's locally rooted approach to making things and its proposal of a new flavor experience.
