Craft beer in a station concourse
The Yui Rail Beer Marche is being held at Omoromachi Station in Naha. It runs on July 23 and 24 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the July 24 session continues until 8:00 p.m.. Because it takes place inside the station, it is designed as a convenient stop for people heading home from work or out shopping. Admission is free.
Among the exhibitors is AGARIHAMA BREWERY, a craft brewery based in Yonabaru Town in southern Okinawa. Founded in 2023, it is the town’s only craft brewery. The brewery also operates a taproom where guests can drink while looking out at the brewing tanks, making freshness a key part of its appeal.
One of its flagship beers is SUNRISE PALE ALE, which won gold in the American Pale Ale keg category at the Japan Great Beer Awards 2024. It is known for citrus aromas reminiscent of lemon and orange, along with a balanced bitterness that pairs well with food. The brewery also works with Okinawan ingredients such as pineapple juice and sugarcane, giving its lineup a strong local character.
Set in a station concourse and tied to a local brewery with a distinct identity, this market offers an accessible way to experience Okinawa’s craft beer culture in the middle of the city.
