Awashima Soko serves five taps including karuizawaQ and Nara Brewing, and releases April hours
On March 31, the Tokyo Setagaya beer pub Awashima Soko released the day's tap list. Five beers from karuizawaQ, YOROCCO, and Nara Brewing were lined up, and the April operating schedule was announced at the same time.
In a March 31 post, the beer pub Awashima Soko in Daizawa, Setagaya, Tokyo, announced that day's `TODAY'S on Tap`. Presented as the final service day of March, the lineup ranged widely from fruit styles to IPA, stout, and pils, with five taps offering very different drinking profiles.
On tap are `karuizawaQ / Ruby` (Fruit Ale w/Raspberry & Blueberry), `YOROCCO / Liberation Pils` (German Pils), `karuizawaQ / Under the Lights` (Oatmeal Stout), `Nara Brewing / HOMEWARD BOUND` (Extra Pale Ale), and `karuizawaQ / Shallows` (New Zealand IPA). Tart berry notes, a clean-drinking pils, a calm stout with roasted malt character, a pale ale that puts hop aroma forward, and an NZ IPA are all in the mix, making it easy to choose based on your mood.
According to the shop's notice, hours are weekdays 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Saturdays 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sundays and holidays 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The days closed in April are listed as the 7th, 15th, and 29th. The shop also asks that groups use the space in small numbers because the interior is narrow, and notes that parties of four or more may be turned away. As a beer pub with a local atmosphere that suits a quiet day of slowly sipping a glass, Awashima Soko once again carefully lined up taps from multiple breweries that day.
