Tap Info

At the craft beer and liquor pub Kunowa in Sapporo’s Susukino, TWO RABBITS BREWING COMPANY’s “Nue HOP JUICE IPA” has been tapped. In the post, the shop announced, “Saturday. We’re open again today from 5:30 p.m.!” making it clear that a guest beer arrived in time for the evening service.

Alongside the beer, White Sugi Sake Brewery’s sake “NUE -Nue-” was tapped at the same time. Being able to enjoy craft beer and sake in the same shop is very much in keeping with Kunowa’s wide-ranging drink selection, true to its name. Its location on the 8th floor of Playtown Fujii in Susukino also makes it easy to stop by in the middle of a night out or for a last drink to wrap up the evening.

The featured “Nue HOP JUICE IPA” is an IPA with a striking name that evokes the hop aroma and juiciness of the style. With a sake named after the yokai “Nue” lined up beside it, the setup invites a fun comparison of the same theme across beer and Japanese sake.

The post also recommends lamb shumai as a pairing, emphasizing that it is meant to go well as a beer snack. Rather than flashy presentation, it comes across as a recommendation for a night of solid drinking and eating.
