Craft Beer and Sake Kunowa, a beer pub in Sapporo’s Chuo Ward, has resumed service after a long holiday. Located on the eighth floor of Playtown Fujii in Minami 3-jo Nishi 3-chome, the pub offers craft beer, a range of alcoholic drinks, and food designed to pair with beer.

The reopening tap list features three beers in distinctly different styles. First is “Rough Trade IPA” from Nobody Brewing by Teenage. At 4.5% ABV, it is a Session IPA, making it a relatively light option for starting the evening.

Next is “Jog Juice” from West Coast Brewing. This 5.5% ABV American Pale Ale is described as being brewed with anchovy liquid lupulin, adding a distinctive point of interest for hop-focused drinkers.

The third beer is “PIRONO SAISON” from PIRONO BEER, a 6.0% ABV Saison with a character that should work naturally alongside food.

Kunowa’s post also reflects on ingredients, dishes, and unfamiliar drinks enjoyed during a recent trip. With Hokkaido entering a season of excellent seafood and mountain produce, the pub plans to continue preparing dishes to accompany its beer and other drinks. For visitors exploring Sapporo’s autumn beer scene, the three-beer lineup offers a compact tour through Session IPA, American Pale Ale, and Saison styles.
