Ohori Brewery Announces Booth at Sasebo Harbor Event
Ohori Brewery, based along Ohori Park in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, announced on Instagram that it will take part in "Sasebo Quayside Sake Bar with Japanet Cruise," to be held on April 18 at Portside Park in Sasebo Port. In the post, the brewery said it was sharing the event as a countdown four days before opening day.
The event will be held to coincide with the port call of the cruise ship MSC Bellissima. According to an announcement from Sasebo City, it will run from 10:00 to 20:00, with the venue set at Portside Park in front of the Minato Exit of JR Sasebo Station. It is planned as a gourmet event featuring craft beers from across Kyushu, alcoholic drinks from Nagasaki Prefecture, and food and merchandise sales, with attendance projected at around 10,000 people.
Ohori Brewery is a microbrewery located along Ohori Park, a landmark area in Fukuoka City. The shop includes a restaurant space, and its distinctive appeal is the ability to enjoy freshly brewed craft beer paired with food sourced from renowned eateries across Kyushu. It offers core staples such as OHORI IPA and OHORI SOUR, along with seasonal limited-edition beers.
This Sasebo appearance also gives the Fukuoka brewery an opportunity to serve its beer in a port city outside the prefecture. Events timed to cruise ship traffic are increasingly becoming places where the food and drink identities of different regions meet, and Ohori Brewery's participation is one example of that trend.
