Baeren Brewery Introduces Two Souvenir-Friendly Products for the Morioka Tohoku Kizuna Festival
Baeren Brewery has introduced "Tsunagu Beer" and "Morioka Twilight Lager" as recommended gifts in advance of the Tohoku Kizuna Festival, which will be held in Morioka on May 23 and 24. The post highlights two locally rooted bottles and explains how each suits a different purpose.
Two Suggestions for the Tohoku Kizuna Festival
Baeren Brewery, based in Shizukuishi Town in Iwate, introduced two "souvenir-friendly" products on Instagram for visitors coming from outside the prefecture or city in connection with the Tohoku Kizuna Festival held in Morioka. The two items featured were "Tsunagu Beer" and "MORIOKA TWILIGHT LAGER".
Tsunagu Beer
"Tsunagu Beer" is a canned beer that promotes itself as being made with 100% Iwate-grown ingredients. According to official information, the concept took shape through a project with local university students, and it is introduced as an effort to carry everything out domestically in one continuous chain, from barley cultivation to beer production. Its defining features are a gentle sweetness from low-temperature fermentation and a citrus aroma from hops. The flavor was just renewed in April this year.
MORIOKA TWILIGHT LAGER
The other beer, "MORIOKA TWILIGHT LAGER," is an unfiltered version of Baeren's flagship product, "Classic." It is a special-label item sold only within Morioka city, and the label features the Red Brick Building. While retaining the satisfying body of a Baeren-style lager, it is positioned as a souvenir that can only be bought in Morioka.
Baeren Brewery is a brewery that has continued traditional beer-making by making use of brewing equipment more than 100 years old that was relocated from Germany. This post, which presents a regionally distinctive limited item alongside a regular-off-menu beer focused on local ingredients, offers an easy choice for people visiting the city.
