At craft beer Extra Hop, a beer pub in Chuo-machi, Oita City, an Instagram post dated June 18 introduced two new beers: SOCIETE x Burgeon / Forest Friends and CRAFT BEER BASE / Pilsener Northern Style.

Forest Friends is described in the post as a collaboration IPA from San Diego and one of the owner's favorites. The beer is said to be fruity, dank, and clean, which points to a hop-forward profile with a clear finish. It looks like a strong choice for drinkers looking for an aromatic IPA that still stays crisp enough for warm weather.

Pilsener Northern Style comes from CRAFT BEER BASE, a brewery the post says has also been recognized in overseas competitions. As a North German-style pilsner, it is positioned as a beer with sharp bitterness and a dry, focused finish rather than a flashy aroma. That makes it a natural contrast to the IPA on the same lineup.

Extra Hop's appeal is its neighborhood beer-pub atmosphere and the way it pairs guest beers with food. The same post also mentioned a limited chicken chili roast and temporary closures on June 21 and July 4, showing how closely the shop keeps regulars updated. It is the kind of place where after-work drinking can still feel specific: one beer for aroma, one for bitterness, and a straightforward reason to stop in.
