The beer pub Craft Beer Spot Hathor in Osaka’s Kyobashi has announced its draft beer lineup for May 20. Opened in March 2015, the shop has 16 taps and also serves house-smoked dishes, and as expected, that day’s lineup spans everything from lagers to fruit beers, IPAs, and dark beers.

The standout is the recommended Shine Muscat Ale / Island Brewery. It is said to be a beer based on MUSCAT ALE, brewed in a 300L batch in spring 2024 and made with plenty of off-grade Shine Muscat grapes grown at local Nonaka Orchard in Nagasaki. This time, the brewery used ingredients that had been frozen and aged for about a year and a half, resulting in a finish that adds a richer grape nuance to its refreshing fruit character.

There are plenty of highlights in the keg lineup as well. The lagers are Jukusen / Asahi Breweries, Spring Lager / Minoh Beer, Yuya Boys IPL - Jamboree SP Ver / Oni Densetsu Beer, and Papa Zaru Lager / Minoh Beer. The ales include Echoes / Nara Brewing and Red Ale Real Ale ver / Iwate Kura Beer.

The IPA selection is equally distinctive, with Kind of Gold Real Ale ver / Shiga Kogen Beer × Dogfish Head × Oxbow, Sake Lees Hazy IPA ZAKU Shinryoku / Isekadoya Beer, Beer no Ousho / Y Market, and Electrosquash Sour IPA / Isekadoya Beer. To finish, there is also Enmusubi Beer Stout Real Ale ver / Beer Herun, giving the tasting range impressive breadth.

Anchored by a fruity limited-release beer and rounded out with standard lagers and punchy IPAs, this is the kind of lineup that will delight beer fans in Kyobashi who want to take their time working through the taps. With house-smoked dishes to pair alongside them, it looks set to be a day full of enjoyable choices.
