Niseko LUPICIA Brewery refreshes its three core beers, starts selling cans
Niseko LUPICIA Brewery announced new initiatives for 2026 on Instagram. It will completely replace its three regular beers and begin selling canned products. A new lineup reflecting Niseko's scenery will roll out sequentially.
LUPICIA BREWERY, based in Niseko, is making a major overhaul of its core lineup for 2026. In an Instagram post, it made clear that it would be "completely replacing its standard beers" and "beginning sales of canned products," signaling the opening of a new chapter for the brand.
The new core lineup will consist of three beers. "Nisecoise," a Hazy IPA, will be 6.5% ABV. "Niseko Ale," an American Pale Ale, will be 5.5%, and "Niseko Pilsner," a Pilsner, will be 4.5%. The post also introduced image concepts that layer Niseko scenery onto each beer: Nisecoise evokes the morning mist, Niseko Ale the mountain range in the evening light, and Niseko Pilsner a clear stream.
According to the brewery's official website, LUPICIA BREWERY is based at 4-1 Yoichi, Niseko-cho, Abuta-gun, Hokkaido, and aims to create "beer spoken of by the name Niseko." For the brewery, which emphasizes flavors rooted in the local area, this overhaul of its core lineup can be seen as an effort to make the brand's direction even clearer.
In this post, the visuals and label photos were handled by Niseko-based photographer Haruna Oku, and the shoots were also conducted around Niseko. The way the local landscape is folded directly into the product presentation suggests an effort to convey a sense of Niseko not only through taste, but through appearance as well.
At present, more details are expected to be shared in stages, and the key points for now are the overhaul of the three core beers and the rollout of canned products. It will be interesting to see how craft beer carrying the Niseko name expands from here.
