Lupicia Brewery in Niseko Town, Hokkaido, announced that its collaborative beer with ISHIYA×LUPICIA, "Shiroi Koibito Beer," has been switched from bottles to cans. The change makes it lighter, reduces the risk of breakage, and improves portability as a Hokkaido souvenir.
Lupicia Brewery, based in Niseko Town, Hokkaido, announced on Instagram that its collaborative beer with ISHIYA×LUPICIA, "Shiroi Koibito Beer," has been switched from bottles to cans. In the post, the brewery said that cans make the beer lighter and eliminate worries about breakage, explaining that it has become an even better choice for a Hokkaido souvenir.
Lupicia Brewery is the brewery operated in Niseko by Lupicia, widely known as a specialty tea shop offering teas from around the world. On its official website, the company says it moved its base from Tokyo to Niseko in 2020 and aims to reflect the air, water, and changing seasons of this land in its beer. Its standard lineup includes beers such as "Niseko Ale," "Niseko Pilsner," "Nisecoise," and "Hokudai Ringo," and it has continued brewing beer under the Niseko name.
On its official website, the brewery explains that cans have advantages such as reducing the effects of light and oxygen, making them easier to ship alongside shelf-stable products, and improving portability and storage. The can version of "Shiroi Koibito Beer" follows that direction. The brewery does not sell products directly, and tours are available only by full reservation every Friday. Beer nurtured in Niseko can now be enjoyed in a more convenient form.
