umbrella RiB is a craft-beer pub on the first floor of the Juraku Building in Utagano-cho, Osaka. For Friday, June 12, the bar announced a 5:00 p.m. to midnight service window and said it would pre-open five HINO BREWING beers.

Five new drafts

- Wild Honey / HINO BREWING (Shiga) - Honey Ale, 6%
- Premium Ale / HINO BREWING (Shiga) - Farmhouse Ale, 10%
- Dont Yare IPA / HINO BREWING (Shiga) - Hazy IPA, 6%
- Yare Yare Ale / HINO BREWING (Shiga) - American Pale Ale, 5%
- Zutto Yare IPA / HINO BREWING (Shiga) - Cool IPA, 5%

Grouping five taps from the same brewery makes this lineup easy to read: one brewery, five different expressions, from a honey-driven ale to a 10% farmhouse ale and a softer cool IPA. It is the kind of spread that invites side-by-side tasting rather than choosing a single winner.

More beers on tap

The rest of the board keeps the variety going. Stone’s Live Current adds a West Coast IPA edge, Shimanami Brewery’s Shimanami Super Lemon Sour brings a fruit hard seltzer option, Brasserie Knot’s MOON offers a double IPA, and Stigbergets’ Trouble Sleep brings an imperial coffee stout. The list also includes Ash Head Brewery’s 1117, Nara Brewing’s Kipp, and Daisen G Beer’s Yuzu Weiss.

The pub’s appeal is not just the tap list. It also serves grilled and teppan-style food, and the post notes that more than 60 carefully selected bottles and cans are available as well. In other words, umbrella RiB works both as a place to focus on what’s pouring now and as a shop-like stop for extending the session with bottles or cans. For drinkers in the Umeda area, it is a practical place to follow a style-driven lineup without losing the food-and-bar feel.
