Marumugi, a small beer pub in Arakicho, Shinjuku, posted its June 13 craft beer lineup. Large pours are JPY 1,200 plus tax and small pours are JPY 900 plus tax. The bar is about a 3-minute walk from Yotsuya-Sanchome Station, and the menu shows the kind of range that makes the room work for both a quick stop and a tasting session.

The five beers on tap are:

- Pilsner / Mojiko Retro Beer (Fukuoka), 5.0%
- Suruga Bay Imperial IPA / Baird Brewing (Shizuoka), 8.5% (+JPY 100)
- Hoppy Weizen / Minoh Beer (Osaka), 5.0% (+JPY 100)
- 迷ったらこのペール! / Ushitora Brewery (Tochigi), 5.0% (+JPY 100)
- Third Wave Porter / VECTOR BEER (Tokyo), 4.0% (+JPY 100)

Marumugi’s own notes describe the beers in straightforward terms: crisp bitterness for the pilsner, a direct shot of bitterness for the imperial IPA, bright fruit aroma for the weizen, an easy first choice for the pale ale, and a porter that stays refreshing despite its dark color. The bar also says Tuesdays and public holidays have been closed days since December 5, 2024. A special event is scheduled for July 4 (Saturday), with an original coffee-scented beer and a performance of Yotsuya Kaidan.
