October 4 lineup

Jibeer Bar Marumugi in Arakicho, Shinjuku, is serving five craft beers from breweries across Japan. The listed prices are ¥1,300 for a large pour and ¥1,000 for a small pour.

The lineup begins with Baeren Classic from Baeren Brewery in Iwate. At 6.0% ABV, this is a classic lager defined by a balanced combination of malt richness and bitterness.

Shonan Beer’s IPA American Style follows at 6.0% ABV. Described as a classic American IPA, it puts hops at the center and should appeal to drinkers looking for a more pronounced hop character.

Repubrew’s NO LEMON LAGER, brewed in Shizuoka, comes in at 5.6% ABV. Its lemongrass aroma gives the lager an unusual character reminiscent of spiced tea, making it a distinctive option among the taps.

From Tochigi’s Romantic Village Craft Brewery comes Maple Amber Ale. This 6.0% amber ale is sweet, toasted, and rich, suited to slow sipping.

志賀高原ビール’s Baby Blonde Miyama is the lightest beer in the selection at 5.0% ABV. It is described as easy-drinking but still clearly hoppy, with the kind of approachable profile that invites another pour.

Located on the second floor of Ichibankan Building in Arakicho, Marumugi offers a focused setting for comparing Japanese craft beers. The October 4 selection gives visitors a choice between familiar beer styles and more aromatic, distinctive expressions. The pub is closed on Tuesdays and public holidays.
