umbrella RiB, a beer pub in Osaka’s Toganocho area, opened on Friday, June 5 at 5:00 p.m. The shop shared its “Today’s on Tap” lineup, and the list spans 12 beers across a wide range of styles, from hop-forward IPAs to stout, fruit beer, and sour ale.

Among the standouts are Mosaic Edge from Ushitora Brewery, Live Current from Stone, and Diffusiophilia from a Totopia x Batere collaboration. The lineup also includes a Hazy Double IPA, an Imperial Coffee Stout, and an Australian Pilsner with plum, giving the bar both high-impact options and easier-drinking choices such as a SMaSH Golden Ale, a Hoppy Pilsner, a Fruit Weizen, and a Sour Ale.

Other taps on the day were Hydra from Flora Fermentation, MOON from Brasserie Knot, Trouble Sleep from Stigbergets, 1117 from Ash Head Brewery, Kipp from Nara Brewing, Yuzu Weiss from Daisen G Beer, and Sawanouwasa from Bloomin. The selection shows the bar’s strength as a place where local Japanese breweries and overseas names sit side by side.

umbrella RiB is located on the first floor of the Juraku Building in Osaka’s Kita Ward. Regular hours are 5:00 p.m. to midnight on weekdays and 3:00 p.m. to midnight on weekends and holidays, with food last orders at 10:30 p.m. The bar also sells more than 60 bottled and canned craft beers, and it serves limited hamburgers mainly on Saturdays and Sundays. It is the kind of place that works well for a quick pint, a longer tasting session, or a casual beer-focused night out in Umeda.
