Nara Brewing's "UNDERWATER: LUMINOUS" on Tap at Bar Fiddich, with Y.MARKET BREWING's Minamichita Blood Orange IPA Nearly Gone
At Bar Fiddich, a beer pub in Minamichicho, Nara City, the latest collaboration between Nara Brewing and Kaze no Mori, "UNDERWATER: LUMINOUS," has been tapped. In addition to a side-by-side comparison with the existing "UNDERWATER," Y.MARKET BREWING's "Minamichita Blood Orange IPA" is also down to its last few pours.
At Bar Fiddich, a beer pub in Minamichicho, Nara City, Nara Prefecture, the latest collaboration between Nara Brewing and the sake brand "Kaze no Mori," "UNDERWATER: LUMINOUS," is now on tap.
According to the post, this beer was brewed using the same ingredients as "UNDERWATER": sake yeast, brewing water, and soyashi water. Its finishing direction, however, is different. This version is designed to retain a firm malt-derived sweetness while bringing its acidity into sharper focus. Compared with "UNDERWATER," the aroma keeps ginjo notes more restrained, while refreshing impressions reminiscent of red-fleshed watermelon, honey-filled apples, and ramune soda come to the front. Its alcohol content is also lower at 6%, compared with "UNDERWATER"'s 11%, and the sweet-tart profile plus moderate carbonation make for a lighter, more brisk drinking experience.
The original "UNDERWATER" is also available in the bar, so tasting the two side by side lets you compare the different expressions born from the same collaboration. For quietly examining a beer's character at a Nara beer pub, this is an ideal lineup.
In addition, Y.MARKET BREWING's "Minamichita Blood Orange IPA" is down to just a tiny amount. Once that runs out, a new fruit beer is scheduled to be tapped. Anyone interested in guest beer turnover will want to check Bar Fiddich's latest tap status soon.
