Bar Fiddich, a beer pub located in Minamichō, Nara City, has tapped Minoh Beer’s seasonal National Peach Weizen Hakuhou Ver. Announced on September 8, 2026, the beer is the second installment in Minoh Beer’s annual peach-focused seasonal series.
The beer is brewed with Arakawa peaches from Hakki Farm in Wakayama Prefecture. The freshly harvested peaches are carefully processed into purée and added to the Weizen. Hakuhou is known as a particularly juicy peach variety and is one of four varieties featured in the series.
The beer uses 50% wheat malt, giving it a soft, gentle mouthfeel. Aromas from the Weizen yeast, including clove and banana-like fruitiness, combine with the fresh fragrance of peach. Despite its generous fruit character, the beer is not designed to be sugary; it finishes dry and crisp, allowing the peach and wheat notes to remain balanced.
National Peach Weizen Hakuhou Ver. has an ABV of 5.0% and an IBU of 12. Its appearance is a hazy, milky white, and the recommended serving temperature is 8–12°C. The moderate bitterness and clean finish make it approachable both as a first drink and alongside food.
For craft beer fans visiting Nara, Bar Fiddich offers a chance to enjoy this popular Minoh Beer seasonal release on tap. It is also a good opportunity to appreciate how the flavor changes between peach varieties as the series continues.
