Yokohama Bay Brewing Yokohama Front Store Introduces Roasted Spring Cabbage and Three Guest Beers
On March 30 at Yokohama Bay Brewing's Yokohama Front store, spring cabbage anchovy roast and smelt nanbanzuke were introduced. The taps feature 24 beers, centered on the brewery's own beers, with three guest beers from Baeren Beer, Minoh Beer, and Grandline Brewing added as well.
At Yokohama Bay Brewing's Yokohama Front store, the tap list has been updated with spring-like snacks.
The food for the day includes "Spring Cabbage Anchovy Roast," made by simply roasting seasonal spring cabbage and pairing it with anchovy oil, and "Smelt Nanbanzuke," made by frying smelt until crisp and finishing it in a sweet-and-sour marinade. It goes well not only with beers that have a light bitterness and malty flavor, but also with wheat beers that have aroma and amber styles with a moderate richness.
The brewery's own lineup is extensive, with Bay Pilsner, Beer Terrace, Bay Amber, Bay Dark, Bay Weiss, Yuzu Weiss, Apple Weiss, Flatland, Travelers, Uncle Linne, Freedom, With Friends, Pedaling For IPA, GOOOOOAAAAAL IPA, Mellow Walk IPA, and more. Czech Pilsner Urquell is also on offer, showing the breadth of a 24-tap setup.
There are three guest beers: Baeren Beer's "Onmenbroy" (Rauchbock), Minoh Beer's "Nice Bitter" (Bitter), and Grandline Brewing's "Mrs. Secret" (Fruit Sour Ale). Together, they form a trio with very different directions: smoky malt character, gentle British-style bitterness, and fruity tartness.
The store is on the 2nd floor of THE YOKOHAMA FRONT in Tsuruyacho, Kanagawa Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Convenient for stopping by near Yokohama Station, it is a beer pub where you can enjoy both seasonal snacks, house beers, and guest beers when you want to pair food with craft beer.
