A Brewery Born from Shinbashi "Handiwork"
Kunisawa Beer is a brewery based in Shinbashi, Tokyo. On its official website’s "Our Story" page, it explains that company president and brewer Ryosuke Kunisawa combined the craftsmanship he honed in the printing industry with his homebrewing experience and established the brewery in Shinbashi in 2022.
Its parent company, Kawachiya, is a printing company founded in 1971 and also operates the stationery brand KUNISAWA. Against that backdrop of "making things," the brewery has emphasized an uncompromising approach to beer making as well.
Key Points for Beer Fans
According to the site, the brewery is equipped with a 600-liter brew kettle and a total of nine tanks, and it has also introduced horizontal storage tanks to improve lager quality. In addition to Shinbashi Classic Lager, it also serves seasonal beers. This reopening should be a chance for existing fans to enjoy a familiar pint in a new space, while first-time visitors will likely find it an entry point into Kunisawa Beer’s current character.
