Fujiyama Hunter's Beer Asama Taisha Tap Room adds Yui shirasu and Ore no Shio
Fujiyama Hunter's Beer says its Asama Taisha Tap Room is now serving shirasu from Yui fisherman Motoyoshimaru's Take-chan as a chilled-tofu dish. Last year's well-received "Ore no Shio" is also on tap, bringing a coastal note to a menu rooted in mountain ingredients.
Fujiyama Hunter's Beer's Asama Taisha Tap Room has added shirasu from Yui fisherman Motoyoshimaru's Take-chan to its menu. In the post, the brewery suggests serving it over chilled tofu, while also pouring last year's well-received Ore no Shio on tap. The pairing keeps the focus on a light snack and a beer that fits it.
The brewery is based in Yuno, Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka, and was started by farmers and hunters. It brews with Fujisan spring water and uses some in-house grown barley, hops and rice raised without pesticides. At the tap room near Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha, visitors can usually find five beers on tap along with seasonal gibier and local vegetable dishes.
The post also points to the sea-meadow restoration project led by Patagonia Japan and Yui fishermen, with a related booklet kept in the tap room. The update adds a coastal ingredient to a place known for mountain ingredients, showing how the brewery links beer, food and local landscape in one room.
