Event Information
According to a post on Mushima Ham Brewery’s Instagram, the event they will be participating in is “Minato no Kyujitsu Vol. 32.” It will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00, and the venue is the Kasaoka Port Minato Kobanashi parking area.
The beers being offered this time are the brewery’s three regulars, which it calls the “Mushima Three Brothers.”
1. Mugi no Hajimari (Alc. 5%)
A saison layered with sweetness and complexity from yeast-derived aromas. In the post, it is recommended as the beer for your “first glass.”
2. Drum Can Meeting (Alc. 5%)
A Rauchbier made with smoked malt and using natural hijiki seaweed from Mushima.
3. Oyster Stout (Alc. 5%)
A stout that makes use of the savory character of oysters from Kitagi Island. It is described as having restrained bitterness and a mineral-driven finish.
Brewery Background
Mushima Ham Brewery is a small brewery that makes beer on Mushima in the Kasaoka Islands of Okayama Prefecture. On its official website, the brewery explains that it makes craft beer on an island with a population of about 40, and that it obtained a happoshu brewing license in 2019. After relocating there in 2016, it spent time preparing barley cultivation and brewing, and has continued making beers that reflect local ingredients and culture. That approach is also reflected in these three labels.
The post also notes that only draft beer will be sold at the venue, and encourages people to buy bottled beer at nearby retail stores.
