Mushimahama Brewery will hold the final 2026 edition of “Minato no Kyujitsu” on November 8. The event will feature dried seafood, burgers, and a special beer brewed with rare red buckwheat grown in Kasaoka’s Imai district, available both on draft and in bottles.
A local-food gathering with a special regional beer
Mushimahama Brewery has announced the final “Minato no Kyujitsu” event of 2026, scheduled for Sunday, November 8.
Guest vendor Himonoya Kankichi will return after a popular appearance last November. The shop will serve carefully prepared dried seafood, including grilled items cooked over charcoal on site, as well as an eel kabayaki rice bowl. Dried seafood will also be available to take home.
YOD’Z BURGER will make its third appearance. Its menu centers on burgers made with 100% beef shoulder-roast patties without fillers, alongside house-made bacon. Because the burgers are popular, early visits are recommended.
The beer highlight is a special brew created for Imai Umaiya. It uses rare red buckwheat seeds grown in fallow fields in Kasaoka’s Imai district and was brewed by Mushimahama Brewery. The beer is not normally sold in bottles to the general public, but this event will offer both draft and bottled versions.
Mushimahama Brewery is based on Mushima, one of the Kasaoka Islands in Okayama Prefecture. The brewery makes craft beer on the small island, home to roughly 40 people, drawing inspiration from the local landscape, community, and regional ingredients.
With seafood, burgers, and a limited regional beer in one setting, the final Minato no Kyujitsu of the year offers a chance to enjoy the flavors of the Setouchi area alongside beer from a small island brewery. Visitors should check the brewery’s official channels for the latest event and sales details.
