CraftBeerSpot Hathor in Osaka's Kyobashi district has published its draft beer lineup for June 19. Known as a beer pub with 16 taps and house-made smoked foods, the bar is offering a wide spread of styles, from lager and wheat beer to IPA and stout.

The featured new tap is Good Hops' "Yosoji Special." The beer was brewed as a limited release to celebrate a hop farmer's friend's 40th birthday in Tono. The brewery moved the beer before fermentation into a smaller tank, added four hop varieties, and produced a one-keg-only IPA with firm bitterness and a strong hop aroma.

The recommended beer is Ushitora Brewery's "With Raspberries." This fruit ale is built with Pilsner malt only for a light body, then fermented again with a large amount of fresh raspberries added after primary fermentation. The result is a bright red beer with clear raspberry acidity and aroma, while hop bitterness is kept very low, making it approachable even for drinkers who prefer milder bitterness.

The rest of the lineup is equally broad: Edelpils, Sunglider, Hopping Shachi, Momoka to Kyouko no Duet Weizen, Yuzu Triple, Grapefruit Sour, Snow Monkey IPA Silver Label ver., Kozaru IPA Real Ale ver., Pleiades, and Milk Stout Nitro ver. In other words, the bar is covering lager, white beer, fruit beer, IPA, and black beer in a single day. It is the kind of selection that lets guests move from a crisp session beer to a hop-forward IPA and finish with a stout, all in one stop in Kyobashi.
