Marmugi, a small beer pub in Arakicho, Shinjuku, shared its tap lineup for July 8. With a base price of JPY 1,200+tax for a large pour and JPY 900+tax for a small pour, plus an additional JPY 100 for each featured beer, the selection offers a clear range of styles from a light session IPA to a darker summer-friendly stout-like beer and an amber ale.

The five beers listed that day were:

- `Session IPA / HOPDOG BREWING (Akita)` — 3.5%. Light in body, but with a distinctly hop-forward presence.
- `Yuyake no IPA / FOREST BREWING (Miyagi)` — 6.0%. A fuller IPA with firm bitterness and citrus aroma.
- `Seya no Komugi Beer / Yokohama Beer (Kanagawa)` — 5.5%. A gentle ale with wheat grown in Yokohama.
- `Hyakki no Kuro / Nutori Brewing (Saitama)` — 4.0%. A summer dark beer with a coffee-like aroma.
- `Amber Swan Ale / Swan Lake Beer (Niigata)` — 5.5%. An amber ale with malt sweetness, toast, and hop balance.

Marmugi is located on the second floor of Ichibankan Building in Arakicho, at 1 Arakicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, and is an intimate beer bar about a three-minute walk from Yotsuya-Sanchome Station. Since December 5, 2024, the pub has been closed on Tuesdays and public holidays. The post also mentioned Chicken Nanban Day and included the owner’s comments about tasting different versions in Miyazaki, which adds a food-minded context to the lineup. The result is a tap list that feels geared not only toward beer geeks, but also toward pairing with a proper meal.
