The brewery Neko Beer, based in Fukuoka City's Minami Ward, has released a new beer called "Fighting! IPA!". This beer is a TDH Hazy IPA with 7% ABV. As a style, it is finished with an emphasis on haze, mouthfeel, and the dimensional presence of hop aroma, even within the IPA category.

On the recipe side, it uses Pilsner, flaked oats, flaked wheat, and CaraPils. The hops are a combination of Nectaron, Rakau, NZ Cascade, and Citra. According to the description, this release is built around NZ hops from Freestyle, and it is designed with a very high ingredient density, using more than 200 kg of oats, malt, and wheat for a small 500L tank.

In the brewhouse, a high-temperature mash was used to create a mouthfeel that would not be overwhelmed by the hops, while also aiming for a solid final gravity. For dry hopping, only T90 hop pellets were used, and by carefully removing elements that could cause impurities or off-flavors, the brewery aimed to balance a hazy appearance with drinkability.

Neko Beer is a brewery based in Fukuoka City's Minami Ward, and as its name suggests, its playful beer names are also memorable. This "Fighting! IPA!" is positioned not just as a flashy release, but as a beer that carefully designs both malt depth and hop character. It is a new release that will appeal not only to Hazy IPA fans, but also to people who enjoy the aroma of NZ hops and an IPA with a substantial body.
