Bakushu Yumeyomi in Kyoto’s Gion district is updating its draft lineup. On Sunday, August 30, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the bar will serve Nara Brewing’s Watermelon Head on draft.

The beer is a wheat ale brewed with plenty of watermelon, and the venue describes it as a summer beer that runs from nose to throat. This time it will be poured in a smaller 10L run, so the bar is encouraging guests to visit early.

Bakushu Yumeyomi is a beer pub on the second floor of the Shimaya Building near Gion-Shijo Station. True to its "WALL OF BEER" style, it is a place for taking your time with a pint. Solo guests are welcome, reservations are not taken, and the atmosphere is geared toward relaxed, focused beer drinking.

Food on the day includes plenty of peanuts, keeping the pairing simple and beer-forward.

The post also says next Thursday’s Ebisu beer will be off, and the LUKR tower will switch to YOROCCO’s Lager du Soleil, a French-hop pilsner. For beer fans in Kyoto, it is a timely update worth noting.
