Y.market Brewing's guest beer, MINAMICHITA Bergamot IPA, has arrived at Taru Taru, a beer pub in Kawaramachi, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture.
This beer is a fruit IPA made with bergamot from Manshu Fruits in Minamichita. It pours a lightly hazy gold color and has a medium body. Its aroma is refreshingly reminiscent of bergamot and lemon tea, while herbal, floral citrus notes like Earl Grey tea layer on top. A moderate bitterness remains at the finish, making it well suited to pairing with food.
In Taru Taru's post, it is introduced as a "lightly drinkable type of IPA", and is being suggested as a glass you can enjoy for its bright bergamot aroma. It is also said to pair well with fried foods, so in true beer-pub fashion, it seems like a good beer to sip slowly alongside snacks.
It is also interesting that you can taste a beer from Y.market Brewing, a brewery known in Nagoya, while enjoying craft beers from different regions when traveling, which fits today's trend. There is also an anecdote that they stocked it because they were drawn to the simple label design, which conveys Taru Taru's eye for selection.
