Persona Brewery previews four taps five days before its beer festival
In a July 19 post, Persona Brewery in Kofu shared four of the beers slated for its upcoming festival, now five days away. The lineup moves from a clean lager to a Belgian white and two hop-driven IPAs, giving a clear sense of the range on offer at the brewpub.
Four taps, distinct styles
Persona Brewery is a brewpub in Asahi, Kofu, Yamanashi, where beer is brewed and enjoyed on site. In this post, the brewery says the festival is five days away and introduces taps 17 through 20 out of a 24-beer lineup. The post also frames the larger range as moving from easy-drinking classics to hoppy beers, then dark beer and seasonal fruit beers.
The four beers highlighted here each serve a different role:
- Okinkura Lager
A clean lager with gentle malt sweetness and a crisp finish. It reads like a beer that works as a first pour or a reset between stronger flavors.
- Hareta Hi no Bell
A Belgian white with a soft wheat-malt texture and bright orange peel aromatics. Light, refreshing, and suited to warm weather.
- Citra no Shuumatsu
A Citra-only IPA built around grapefruit and orange notes, with firm bitterness and enough body to satisfy hop drinkers.
- Nelson Boy
An IPA driven by New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops, bringing white-grape character and a herbal edge while staying relatively light on the finish.
As a brewpub, Persona Brewery’s appeal is the immediacy of drinking the brewery’s own beers where they are made. This post suggests a festival lineup designed for range rather than repetition: a clean lager and Belgian white to start, then IPAs for aroma and bitterness. For beer fans, that usually means a session that can move from easy drinking to hop detail without losing balance.
The brewery also describes the 24-beer program in broad categories: approachable classics, hoppy beers, dark beer, and seasonal fruit beers. Even from these four taps, the festival looks structured around contrast and pacing rather than sheer intensity.
