At Kagiya Brewery Taproom in Musashi-Kosugi, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, a one-night-only craft beer event, "KAWASAKI BEER JAM 2026," will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
The highlight of this event is the chance to enjoy 20 different craft beers at once. In addition to Kagiya Brewery's 10 regular beers, the lineup includes three beers from the American brewery Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., three from Firestone Walker Brewing Company, and four from Nagoya-based Y.MARKET BREWING. With styles such as IPA, pale ale, and lager, the event is designed so you can compare the differences and find the glass that suits you best.
The venue is a brewpub-style taproom adjacent to the brewery. One appeal is being able to take your time comparing beers that let you feel the brewer's character directly in each pour. This time, outside food is also allowed, so you can enjoy pairings like IPA with spicy food, stout with chocolate, and lager with fried chicken. It's not just about drinking; the event also gives you a chance to talk through pairings and compare impressions, which is part of its charm.
In the Kawasaki area, opportunities to taste 20 beers while crossing over popular breweries from Japan and abroad are rare. The event is easy to join casually and offers something enjoyable for everyone from craft beer beginners to seasoned drinkers.
