Beer Tsukasa in Uji, Kyoto, announced on May 12 that it would be serving a guest beer. This cask is one brewed as CBB BUD's 11th anniversary commemorative beer, and is said to be a rare cask made together with Firestone Walker brewmaster Matt.

The beer style is a modern American pale ale. It is designed with a clear, dry body, a simple malt bill, and a higher level of carbonation, while yeast with beta-lyase activity brings out aromas of passion fruit and strawberry. Rather than relying only on flashy hop character, it achieves both a lifted aroma and an easy-drinking finish, and being able to enjoy it from the cask is a welcome bonus.

As its name suggests, Beer Tsukasa is a beer pub, but it also functions as a Bottle SHOP. In the calm setting of Uji Myoraku, one of its charms is being able to take your time choosing a single tap pour and savor it. Its Instagram also lists business hours of 11:00-14:00 and 16:00-21:30, making it easy to stop by either in the day or in the evening. This time, true to the phrase "just as expected today," it is the kind of drink you want to check out as a cask poured at exactly the timing the shop aimed for.
