Beer Pub Nekotoazarashi in Mitaka hosted its ICCHY's Kitchen event on June 7. The post thanks guests for coming early and says many items sold out, while also noting that the next edition is planned for August. The kitchen was run by Icchy, a cook from Gambrinus, the long-established beer bar in Kokubunji, so this was clearly a food-driven day for the pub.
The venue is a small beer pub centered around counter seating, with 10 craft beer taps and food designed to pair with whatever is on tap. Its menu includes chili beans, homemade nuggets, potato salad, ume-vinegar pickles, crispy salsiccia spring rolls, and Chinese-style char siu with star anise. A happy hour from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. also makes it easy to drop in for a pint.
Looking ahead, the shop is planning a Beer Hearn tap takeover from June 23 to 28. All 10 taps will switch over to Beer Hearn, and the brewery manager is scheduled to visit on June 27. The post does not list individual beer names, but the late-June lineup should be a good chance to drink through Beer Hearn's beers in one place. With the bar just a three-minute walk from Mitaka Station's south exit, it is an easy stop for both event nights and regular visits.
