Jibeer Bar Marumugi in Arakicho, Shinjuku, updated its June 20 tap list with five craft beers. The lineup spans a crisp IPA, a fruity wheat beer, a summer citrus ale, and a food-friendly altbier, with pours available in large and small sizes.
Jibeer Bar Marumugi, a beer pub in Arakicho, Shinjuku, announced its craft beer lineup for June 20. Large pours are priced at 1,200 yen plus tax and small pours at 900 yen plus tax, making it easy to sample several taps in one visit.
The lineup starts with 12 DA CAPO / Y.MARKET BREWING (Aichi, 4.5%), described by the bar as the kind of beer that makes you want one more. Next is 其の十 / NO.10 IPA / Shiga Kogen Beer (Nagano, 7.5%), a strong yet brisk IPA.
For something more aromatic, there is Hoppy Weizen / Minoh Beer (Osaka, 5.0%), a fruity and lively wheat beer. Seasonal drinkers may gravitate toward Shizuoka Summer Mikan Ale / Baird Brewing (Shizuoka, 5.0%), presented as a bright, refreshing citrus ale with a summer tangerine character.
Rounding out the list is Alt / Shonan Beer (Kanagawa, 5.0%), a balanced ale with an elegant malt sweetness that the bar notes will pair well with food. It is the sort of beer that fits naturally into a meal, not just a standalone tasting flight.
Marumugi opened in 2011 and is located a short walk from Yotsuya-Sanchome Station in a quiet corner of Arakicho. Its compact, neighborhood-bar feel makes it suitable both for a focused first stop and for a relaxed second or third drink.
The bar also notes that it is closed on Tuesdays and public holidays. In addition, an original beer launch event is scheduled for July 4, featuring the producer Kanda Hinomaru and a linked performance of Yotsuya Kaidan, adding another beer-and-story angle to the venue's calendar.
