Uchu Brewing has stocked its new release, 'MATARIKI,' in cans at its directly operated taproom, "UCHU BREWING Toranomon," in Toranomon Hills, Tokyo. The company revealed the news in an official Instagram post on May 20. The style is a New Zealand IPA, and a key feature is the use of Nelson Sauvin and Rakau from Freestyle Hops.

In the post, the beer is introduced alongside a bright-looking label and described as having a dry flavor with citrus and tropical nuances. Positioned as a light, refreshing beer that can help shift your mood even on a rainy day, it has also been added to the shop's tap lineup.

At the taproom that day, in addition to 'MATARIKI,' beers such as `PARADISE TROPICAL SMOOTHIE SOUR`, `OTAKU SMOOTHIE SOUR ALE`, `Uchu ALE DDH WEST COAST IPA`, `KONBINI IPA`, `UCHU TORANOMON QDH QUADRUPLE IPA`, and `Obsidian Tower QDH TIPA` were being served. Canned products can also be enjoyed on-site or on the terrace. No food is served, but bringing your own food is allowed.

Uchu Brewing is a brand founded in 2018, with its headquarters and brewery in Hokuto, Yamanashi Prefecture. Inspired by the impact craft beer made on them in the United States, the company aims to deliver "an experience that makes your heart tremble" through beer. It currently operates taprooms in Kobuchizawa, Yamanashi, and Toranomon, Tokyo, and the arrival of 'MATARIKI' is another move that makes use of that two-location setup.
