Double Vision Brewing's 'Mad Eye' and Yureizaka Hazy IPA Newly Tapped at P2B Haus
On April 23, two new kegs were tapped at P2B Haus in Kichijoji. From New Zealand's Double Vision Brewing comes our first-ever pour of 'Mad Eye,' while Kanpai! Brewing's 'Yureizaka Hazy IPA' also joined the lineup, making it possible to compare two hazies with very different personalities.
New Taps on April 23
At the craft beer pub P2B Haus in Kichijoji, two new kegs were tapped to coincide with opening time at 4:00 p.m. on April 23.
The highlight this time is Mad Eye from Double Vision Brewing in Wellington, New Zealand. The style is Hazy Triple IPA, and it is described as a full-bodied beer with tropical fruit notes reminiscent of mango and pineapple, layered with stone fruit, pine, and milky nuances. This is the first time it has been tapped at P2B Haus, making it a release not to miss for anyone who wants to take their time and follow the layers of hops.
The other keg is Yureizaka Hazy IPA from Kanpai! Brewing, which also makes P2B Haus's house ale. Even though it is also a hazy, this one is characterized by a lighter, cleaner drinkability, with tropical notes like passion fruit and pineapple, plus a grassy expression reminiscent of citrus and fresh herbs. A gentle bitterness like citrus peel lingers in the finish.
P2B Haus is a craft beer restaurant located behind Tokyu in Kichijoji. It is known as a place that connects a wide range of beers, from domestic staples to limited releases and international breweries, with a diverse lineup centered around 12 taps. This pair of kegs offers a striking contrast between a dense Hazy Triple IPA and a lighter-drinking Hazy IPA. If you want to explore the range of hazies, this is the kind of update that makes P2B Haus in Kichijoji worth a stop.
