The 33rd Edition in a Port Town

In a post on Mushimahama Brewery's Instagram, the brewery announced the upcoming "Minato no Kyujitsu vol.33." The event will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Kasaoka Port Minato Kobanashi parking lot. Taking advantage of its location near the harbor, the event has continued as a place where people can leisurely enjoy food and beer from midday.

About Mushimahama Brewery

Mushimahama Brewery is a craft beer brewery on Mutsushima in the Kasaoka Islands of Okayama Prefecture. On its official website, the brewery says it makes beer on a small island with a population of about 40 people. Its standard lineup includes the farmhouse ale "Mutsushima Mugi no Hajimari," the distinctive smoked-flavored "Mutsushima Drum Can Meeting," and "Kita-Ki Island Oyster Stout," which uses oysters.

An Event to Enjoy with Local Food

"Minato no Kyujitsu" has become established as an event where visitors can casually enjoy craft beer and local food in the atmosphere of a port town in Kasaoka. With breweries like Mushimahama Brewery participating, bringing ingredients and stories rooted in island life and local land, it becomes more than just a food-and-drink event; it is a place where people can feel connected to Kasaoka's scenery and its people.

Spending time walking through the spring harbor while thinking about what to pair with each drink is one of the event's pleasures. For Mushimahama Brewery as well, it seems likely to be an opportunity to bring the character of the beers it has nurtured on the island to the town of Kasaoka.
