Two new taps

WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE in Makuhari updated its draft lineup with two new beers. The pairing leans into summer: one is a fruit-forward wheat beer, and the other is a hop-driven IPA.

The first is Minoh Beer’s `Peach Weizen (Early-ripening variety)`. It uses "Arakawa peaches" from Hachiki Farm in Wakayama, turned into purée on the day they were picked. The beer combines Weizen yeast notes of clove and banana with the fresh character of peach. At 5.0% ABV and 12 IBU, it finishes dry rather than sweet.

The second is Pizza Port’s `Summer Sunlight IPA`. It brings tropical aromas that suggest mango, guava, and papaya peel, then layers in ruby red grapefruit, Meyer lemon, and a dank resin edge. With a 7.0% ABV, it is built on a light bready malt base that supports the hop expression.

The tap list

The day’s lineup includes eight draft beers in total: Heartland, London Pride, Societe’s `The Dagger`, Surly’s `Mosh Pit Hazy IPA`, and West Coast Brewing’s `Riverphilia` and `Wandering Boi`, alongside the two new arrivals.
