Hop BroFirst up is Pizza Port’s Beach Crossing IPA, at 7.0% ABV. Think pomelo, grapefruit, Meyer lemon, persimmon, and even a hint like papaya peel.

Hop BroYou can. It mainly comes from the hops: Citra, Motueka, and Strata CGX. CGX is, simply put, a form designed to deliver a concentrated burst of aroma.

WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE, a craft beer-focused venue in Inagekaigan, Chiba, has opened two new kegs: Pizza Port’s Beach Crossing and Yuya Boys’ Flower Children/Lotus. Despite the rainy Silver Week weather, the pair offers beer fans two distinct hop-driven drinking experiences.
Pizza Port Beach Crossing
Beach Crossing is a 7.0% IPA from Pizza Port in California. Its flavor moves from notes reminiscent of pomelo, persimmon, and fresh grapefruit toward Meyer lemon, blood orange, and papaya skin. Stone fruit and tropical fruit aromas emerge on the finish. The beer combines a fruity, dank hop character with a light and refreshing body. The hop bill includes Citra, Citra Hyperboost, Citra Cryo, Motueka, Motueka Kief, and Strata CGX.
Yuya Boys Flower Children/Lotus
Flower Children/Lotus is a 6.5% Hazy IPA from Tokyo-based Yuya Boys. It uses El Dorado, Idaho 7, and Citra hops, together with the haze-focused Haze Heaven yeast. Expect impressions of pineapple, orange, and apricot, followed by a relatively dry finish for the style. Its juicy fruit character is balanced by a distinct, refreshing hop presence.
The current draft selection also includes Guinness, KIRIN HEARTLAND, Hoegaarden White, Offshoot Relax West Coast IPA, Revision Lupulin Riot, STONE IPA, and West Coast Brewing Full Hop Alchemist X -2026. MIHAMA BASE also offers bottle and can takeout.
The Inagekaigan location is open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and is closed on Tuesdays. The venue’s joint event with MIHAMA BASE BEER STAND MAKUHARI, the 8th MIHAMA BBQ, is scheduled for October 12, 2026.
