Akita Brewing Company, based in Daisen, Akita, has released its October business schedule. The lineup includes an appearance at a beer festival in central Akita as well as a recurring food event at the brewery’s taproom.

Autumn Beer Festival at Akita Station

From October 2 through 4, the brewery will participate in the Autumn Beer Festival at the plaza outside Akita Station’s west exit. The event offers visitors a chance to enjoy Akita Brewing Company’s craft beer in an open-air festival setting.

The festival runs from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on October 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on October 3, and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on October 4. The brewery’s taproom will be closed during the festival period, so regular visitors should check the change of location before making plans.

Chivicos Night returns to the taproom

On October 23 and 24, the brewery will host its monthly Chivicos Night from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on both days. The event pairs craft beer with fragrant South Indian curry, offering a relaxed way to spend an autumn evening.

Food events such as this can highlight different aspects of a beer, from hop aroma to malt character, depending on the dish. For beer lovers who enjoy exploring pairings as much as individual beers, the evening presents another reason to visit the brewery.

Brewing in Daisen and connecting with drinkers through its taproom and local events, Akita Brewing Company will offer two distinct ways to experience its beers in October: a station-front festival and an intimate in-house dining event.
