Minamiaizu Mountain Brewing to Hold TTO at Tsugaru Beer on March 13 and 14
Minamiaizu Mountain Brewing will hold a tap takeover at Tsugaru Beer in Fukushima City on March 13 and 14. The event will feature 10 taps pouring 11 beers in a “real ale-style” soft-carbonation condition, and guests can also enjoy side-by-side comparisons with the standard canned versions.
The brewpub based in Aizutajima, Minamiaizu Town, Minamiaizu Mountain Brewing / Taproom BeerFridge Beer Fridge, will hold a TTO at Tsugaru Beer in Fukushima City.
What stands out about this announcement is that the beers will be served in a “real ale-style” condition. They will be poured at a slightly warmer temperature with extremely low carbonation, allowing the contours of the malt and hops to unfold slowly. Nitro pours will also be available, giving guests a chance to experience how the mouthfeel changes even within beers from the same brewery.
The lineup scheduled for the day is as follows, with 11 beers in total, 10 connected to taps and the 11th expected to be opened once one runs out.
- Minamiaizu Pale Ale (Pale Ale)
- Minamiaizu IPA (IPA)
- SNOW SURF (Cold IPA)
- BONZ (West Coast IPA)
- BOGEN (Pale Ale)
- Wodhi (IPA)
- Nollie (Imperial IPA)
- FOO FOO (Hoopy Brown)
- Annie (Coffee Amber / Nitro Ver.)
- BOKKER (Porter / Nitro Ver.)
- STEEEP (Imperial Stout)
The post also says the same lineup will be available in cans, making it possible to compare the real ale-style draft pours with the canned versions. Paired with Aizu food and pub fare, this looks set to be two days where visitors can experience the wide range of Minamiaizu Mountain Brewing’s styles all at once.
