Mugiya Pogology, a beer pub in Andoji-cho, Osaka, has shared a 14-beer tap list on Instagram. With a 3 p.m. opening, it is an easy place to stop by in the afternoon and compare domestic and overseas beers side by side.
The standout pours include Minoh Beer’s "Peach Weizen Early Ver." and "Vit Nat IPA," FARMENTRY’s "No.3 YAYOI IPA" and "Dark Mild Nitro ver.," and Y.MARKET BREWING’s "GREEN TEA HAZY IPA." The lineup spans a fruity weizen, classic IPAs, a hazy beer with green tea character, and a nitrogen-finished dark mild, so it is easy to choose according to mood. Other listed beers include Hop Butcher For The World’s "FINGER FOOD," Embolden Beer’s "Broken Record," Oni Densetsu’s "Nishi Oni Higashi Oni IPA," Brasserie Knot’s "AWA," Yorocco Beer’s "Coastal Echo," and GROUNDTAP BREWERY’s "ITSUTOSE," giving the tap list a wide range of styles.
Food is also part of the appeal, with August-only zucchini sauce shumai, weekday-only Pogojiro sets, Tuesday noodle service, and reservation-only course meals. It is a place that works well for both a first drink and a longer beer-and-food stop.
