Chuo Line Beer Works will hold its first-ever "Chuo Line Mini Beer Marche" on Saturday, May 2, from 12:00 to 19:00 at "Yuyu Plaza," a spot a one-minute walk from JR Musashi-Koganei Station. Its official Instagram says that, in addition to the three breweries along the line - Chuo Line Beer Works, 26K Brewery, and OLDBOYS BREWING - three restaurants in Koganei City will also have stalls.

The venue is in the elevated-track area that is easy to reach from both the "North Exit" and "South Exit" of JR Musashi-Koganei Station, in the plaza beside RAKU SPA Station Musashi-Koganei. It is easy to stop by because it is close to the station, and it is also comfortable even in rainy weather. The event is designed to be easy to enjoy not only for people dropping in alone, but also for families and friends.

For food, local Koganei businesses will offer smoked snacks from Kunkun, pizza from happily pottery, and gelato from Wafuu Gelato Okaji TOKYO. Together with beer, the lineup is perfect for casual eating and drinking while you walk around.

Chuo Line Beer Works is JR East Group's first directly operated craft beer brewery, located under the elevated tracks between JR Chuo Line's Higashi-Koganei and Musashi-Koganei stations. A former station attendant turned brewer is working on product development that showcases the region's appeal, and it is also Koganei City's first brewery. The taproom attached to the brewery is operated as a place that connects craft beer with local community exchange.

This mini beer marche can be seen as an attempt to extend that concept into a station-front event. By bringing together breweries along the line and local restaurants, the day is likely to make Chuo Line Beer Works' aim of "building bridges to the city" even more visible.
